I have been waiting to share this with everyone out there and now I can!!! OK another post that is a yippy yahoo yippy jump up and down in excitement. Ok maybe not you but I am. Last year I was asked to submit some of my work to be published in a book and now I finally can share it all with you and the book is: PAPER CUTS, 35 inventive projects!!!! HEHE yup I finally did it and made it into a book. I was and still am so excited that I finally was able to make it into a book with my work. Yes I do work very hard at what I do and put MANY hours into what I do and it has paid off with someone noticing MY work and wanting to publish it. So here are the pictures for you to enjoy as much as I do looking at my work in it.

Here is a beautiful layout from Wendy that she sent to me using the scrolls in the shop. She used Flyaway in brown, Teeny Tiny Itty Bitty Scrapbooking Scrolls 1 - Bright Green Set of 10 and Mini Scrapbooking Scroll 2 - Electric Blue. Well, well, well I am finally done with these projects that I have been working on for months and so happy with how they came out and pretty sure that they guys were happy with them as well when they received them as there xmas gifts.

These books came about one day when I was walking into the fire house and saw a bunch of 5" hose on the floor that was going to get thrown away cause they were defected and the idea popped into my head to use the hose as covers to scrapbooks. Well that got the wheels running in my head and it just went wild after that. I got the Fire Hydrant acrylic books from Magistical Memories and also the chipboard Fire Hydrants from there as well. I bound they books with jump rings and tied tons of fiber on them (addicted to fibers on my mini albums) Well here are the photos of the books and hope you enjoy them.

…from Magistical Memories. Here is the acrylic book that I designed for Magistical memories and finally finished this one and put ALL my fibers on it. Ok yes I am i n love with LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS of fibers on my mini books to cover the rings. So I guess that does state that I have millions of fibers any want to contribute to the addiction go right ahead. LOL So the book is from MAgistical Memories and the scrolls that are on the pages are from my etsy shop. I have not done a lot of acrylic books yet and I am very hesitant to do them cause I'm not sure if there is a right way or wrong way to do them but as an artist there is never a wrong way to anything. So to me I did it the correct way. Hope you enjoy all the pics of the book.

For the question that everyone always asks: "how do you adhere your scrolls to layouts?" well i use glue dots, minis, and pull them apart so that I can fit them in the tiny spaces and the bigger areas. I do not put them all over the scrolls I just put them in certain spots so that areas are tacked down and that seems to work great for me. I use to use the Sailor ball glue pen so you can use that also but sometimes it dries to fast for me so I like the glue dots a lot. hope this helps.

HEHE yea I am a little excited. I got a nice package from Magistical Memories today of my new designs that I did and I am SUUUPPPPEEEERRRRR excited about them. Only bummer is that I had surgery last week on my right shoulder from a car accident that we had in November and I am in a sling and I can not play with the new chip board designs :-( But I will post some pics of them soon for you guys to see the new release and I am sure you will be as excited as I am about them. Very boyish designs and that is something that is lacking in the scrapbooking world so I thought about things that I wanted to scrap that my husband is involved in and I designed stuff around that and I am sure you will be excited cause it is stuff that little boys love and can get there hands into. Just waiting on the word that I can post pics. SO SO EXCITED. Hoping to get my arm out of this sling so that I can play. Many ideas rolling around in my head and I can't wait to put iit to use. So I will post photos soon. Check Back.

More layouts, I have been on a role this weekend…

Here is a layout that I did from when we went on a cruise around Manhattan with the Fire Department this summer. This is a very simple and easy layout. i just used a ton of scrolls from my etsy shop. I also used the adhesive paper ribbon from K&Company and used the reverse side of it and added glitter to it. i use the Martha Stewert glitter it is amazing and the range of colors that you get in the set is unbelievable. I used different ribbons from the collection and put the garnet glitter on one strip and then turquoise on the other ribbon and layered them. Also used were various flowers and stones from Prima Marketing, Center Kissed Round Sky. Love the variety that you get in the pack with the different sizes. Then I used My GelWriters pen to write a small title for the page, I got a great deal in Costco for the pens. I think it was ONLY $16.00 for a set of 85. Get them while you can cause the variety in there is amazing with the glitter, pearlized, neon and pastel. They are amazing.

BRAD PAISLEY Book
This book I did after my husband and I went to Hershey Park to go see Brad Paisley last year. i used acrylic and Chipboard books from Magistical Memories and also the star chipboard pieces from there also. Then I embellished it like crazy. LOTS of BLING!! Got to have bling on country things. Throughout the book you will see a few felt objects like the hat and and horse shoe, they are from Michael's dollar bins. I had bought them awhile back and thought to use them as a page in the book and it was pretty cool. Hope you enjoy all these as much as I have!!!

UNIVERSAL BOOK
This book is made up of all photos of John and I from all the years that we have been going to Disney. I used a chipboard and acrylic book from Magistical Memories and all the Dino's are from there also. I just painted and inked the edges of them to add more dimension to them. i think the book came out great with all the various years that we have been going there.

In this layout I used a chipboard from Magistical Memories and painted it in black and then added Silver glitter paint to the top. also used in the layout is a scroll from my shop

K I am in LOVE with the NEW prima Marketing Die cut felt art strips. I bought a few on Thursday night at Michaels arts and crafts and used it on the layout below. Well since it has a sticky back I decided to use that side instead of the felt side and I covered it with glitter. I LOVE the outcome with using the sticky side instead of the felt. (All you have to do is flip the felt over and take the backing off and the sticker part is revealed and pour your glitter all over it and once that is done just pat it down with your fingers and shaking it off to get the excess off of it and you are done!!!!) And so I went back to Michael's this morning and bought a few more packages to use on more layouts. It is so easy to add the glitter the the sticky side and i am sure that you will love the way it looks when you do it yourself. I also used a ton of scrolls from my etsy show and a bunch of bling. I also used the Hambly transparency on the right side of the layout. Also used for the flowers were the NEW Prima floral embellishments. I am lovin this whole new line from them.

Well I have finally been able to sit down and do new layouts and I am so happy to share them with you. The first book that I made here is a winter book made from large foam snowflakes from ACMoore crafts store and I used chipboard snowflakes from Magistical Memories and also die cut snowflakes from my shop. Also I used some great embellishments from Simply Sentimental. This was such a great project using the foam flakes cause it is out of the box and different. I hope you enjoy it.

WOW it has been a long time since I have posted on here and I am sorry. Things have been crazy and busy and I was planning a surprise party for my husband and my mother in law and it was so difficult with your husband planning the party with you but not knowing it was for him also. Let me tell you he was so SURPRISED when he walked in with his mother and finally figured it out that it was for him also. How stressful that was, but it was also great cause he shopped for everything and picked out all the food so he couldn't complain about the food cause he picked out what HE liked. LOL how sneaky we all were.

So I have a bunch of things to show you and update on so many layouts and a lo more will be coming in the next few weeks.

On this Christmas layout I used the Holly Frame from Magistical Memories and added glitter to it and love how it looks. The chipboard frames are so much to play with and to use. New Layouts....

using the chipboard scrolls from Magistical Memories.. I used a few of the NEW scrolls from Magistical Memories store on these layouts and thought I would give you some ideas on how to use them. So stop on over to check the chip board out. Also on the layouts I used of the scrolls from my etsy shop as well. I hope you get some inspiration from the layouts.

On the first layout I used the ROCK STAR SCROLL from MM and on the second layout I used the FANCY SWIRL from MM and also the SCROLL 9 scroll from my shop in orange glitter.

On the third layout I used the fly away scroll yellow . I Hope that helps.

I love the way the cemeteries "come alive" with flowers that leave marks of love and memories from loved ones. Recently a family friend shared a story about a discovery at her daughter's gravestone. Their daughter had been killed in a car accident in their driveway at a young age and for the past thirty plus years someone had remembered her and placed flowers. Every year her family would leave flowers but every year they were the second to arrive never knowing where the compassionate kindness was coming from. Well about three years ago they arrived at the cemetery just as the other family was leaving. The thoughtful act was from the babysitter who said she "was the last one to see the little girl alive and always felt like a special witness." Such a small act she had faithfully done for so many years and it meant so much to the other family.

Yes that is right an M&M scrapbook. I was busy this past weekend making this scrapbook for my FUTURE SISTER-IN-LAW (Yup sister-in-law that is right, Yippy my brother finally got engaged) who is a M&M nut. So what does that mean, well it was her birthday and I wanted to come up with something different and unique for her and of course had to do with a M&M, and BLUE. So trying to figure out how I was going to make a scrapbook that was a blue M&M was not that hard and I love the way it came out. Here are some pictures of the book and I hope that you enjoy it as much as she did and I did as well while making it.

Still going with the Disney layouts!! LOL Sorry if you are tired of the Disney themed layouts but I really want to actually finish up on a vacation and scrap all the photos we took. Eventually I will be done with them but who knows when. But hey they are giving you ideas and inspiration I hope.

Now down to the details of the layout: I used on here four different papers with blue and green tones in them and punch a whole lot of circles out. Glued them down in a row on top of row pattern to get the over all look of the background. After they were put down then I trimmed the excess of the circles that were going over the edges to make a clean cut. I simply matted the photo with black paper and angled it on the sheet. (Sorry I like angles) but before i glued the photo down I used the circle photo frame from my etsy shop and instead of using it as a photo frame I used it as a corner accent. Added some bling to it and that part was done. Then I added the glitter letters to it and arranged them normally and side ways to have a little more fun with the layout. Well thats the story with the layout and I hope that you are inspired to try something different.

Some might say that my layouts never follow the same pattern and certain style but that is what I like that I have fun with all my layouts and like to try something different. Sorry but being an artist I love trying new things all the time and I am not afraid to play. So I hope you try different things and like doing crazy stuff. ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!

A SHELL of a good time...

... yup that is right a SHELL of a good time. That is what we had 2 years ago in the Bahamas.

Well today while in the store a passed some shells and the light bulb went off in my head and thought, wow I can make a book out of this. So at first I picked them up and then put them down. But while on line I went back and picked them up again and thought to myself you know what you can make this work. So when the husband came home from doin some work I said can you drill some holes in this for me so that I can make a book out of it. And of course he looked at me funny but he did it. So after a few hours of playing around and figuring out how I was going to do it, it is done and I am so excited about it. So now you can enjoy it as well as me. (Hint Hint: I might put up a kit on my etsy so that you too can make the book).

Well yes I do have good news and I have kept it to myself for a very long time and do you know how hard that has been. Well the news is...

yes, if you look there are my scrolls on there and do you know how excited I am about this. A LOT!!!!!!!!! The first row fourth photo, the second row first photo and the third photo, those are MINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are Ironworks - rubons, Spastic - rubons, and Tweet Tweet - rubons done with Bo Bunny Press!!!!!!! I am so excited about this whole adventure and it was killing me to not be able to say something until the debuted at the CHA show this weekend but yes I did keep my mouth shut and well you guessed it, it is finally open and speaking about the whole thing. So I hope you can now enjoy some of my scrolls as rubons soon once they are out in the stores. Well have a great weekend like I am having.

Magic Memories

Yes that is what they are... Magic Memories. Oh how I wish I was there right now, looking at all the photos and scraping them just makes me want to go. Yes we are big kids at heart and have a great time there.

Well on this layout I loved the paper that I used and did not want to cover it up so I left most of it visible and put the focus on the bottom left hand corner. I used my bo bunny flexi ruler to trace the arch in the paper and cut the photo in that same arc so that it would flow with it. I added flowers around the edge of the photo with stones in them to add a little more to it. AND in the bottom right hand corner of the photo is one of my scrolls from my etsy shop and look at what YOU can do with it. I took ribbon that had the colors of the paper in it and weaved it through the cut outs in the scroll and I LOVED how it came out. Then I added the Disney epoxy center and it just pulled it all together.

So I hope with all these layouts using the scrolls I can give you ideas as to what you can do with them. Trust me there are lots of possibilities with these scrolls.

Finding NEMO

I told you that there will be a lot of Disney layouts coming up and I am still going. Ok, so I took about 500 photos when I went last year and also got the Disney photo pass and took photos at every stop that I could so for once I am trying to get all my photos scrapbooked. (Oh boy do I have a long way to go) But hey that is what we do. So on this layout I used two scrolls in one and intertwined them together and added stones to it also. And I have this amazing, amazing paper that I got at work, it is the copper paper that I used to matt the photo and I have it in so many colors that it is amazing. If you are interested in some leave me a comment and we can see what we can do for you. HEHE so just ask and you can be a lucky person that can get your hands on this amazing shiny paper also.

Here I did a fun layout using two scrolls and intertwining them two make it more interesting and I LOVE the way it looks and how it came out. I wanted to use two scrolls and when I twisted and intertwined them I loved the outcome and I think you will to. So all it takes is a little creativity and you can come up with some great designs. Dinner with the Characters....

Yes, we had dinner with the characters in Disney and I would have to say it was awesome cause I was able to get pictures with them all. it was so much fun you should do it when you are there. So on this layout I used the Simplicity Scroll from the shop and folded it in half so that I could use it in the corner. There are so many possibilities for you to try with these scrolls and I am hoping that I am giving you some ideas. So enjoy the layout and let it spark something in your creative mind.

on this layout I tried something different that I normally do not do, yes I do use ribbon on most of my layouts (thsts cause I have so much) but I weaved the ribbon through the paper and I thought it looked pretty cool. Added a little mesh, scrolls, bling, and more bling and more bling, yes I love the bling and of course the ribbon.

Well I hope I am giving you some ideas and getting your creative juices flowing as well. New year, new looks and new inspirations!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Enjoy

Disney Vacation Layout

So, here we go again, another one down and I would say at least a thousand more to go. Yea that is probably really accurate and sad to say. i am such a picture nut that I have so many photos to scrapbook and STILL working on my Disney photos from May and also ones from 2 years ago. Plus I only have a few done from the Bahamas last year. Oh BOY do I ever get cought up??? The answer is no.

WOW this is crazy, but I had a lot of fun. So I got some amazing papers from an amazing person and was able to use them to design what I wanted to with them. So, I thought and thought and thought and finally came up with doin oversized biz cards for myself and my etsy shop. Santa Ride Around - 12/22/07

Well.....
it has been a VERY busy last few months and in the photos you will be able to see what I have been up to and why I have been neglecting my scrapbooking. Well my husband is a Lieut. in the Fire department and well since I am an artist and his wife I am always that one that they ask to do the artistic stuff down at there station. (TRUST ME I DO NOT MIND, I LOVE PAINTING BIG SO I REALLY DID HAVE A LOT OF FUN) So since I would say October I have been painting these boards to go on there fire trucks for there annual santa ride around. I have put in at least eight hours a day plus at least an extra few hours at night to get this done and I am so thrilled with the final look of these boards. So I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I did tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Colored pencil drawing of duck

Here is a colored pencil drawing that I did that is so detailed and the feeling of it is amazing cause it does not feel like it is done by colored pencil. It is so smooth and you judt really have to feel and see it up close to get the whole feeling of this drawing. There is so much detail in the drawing that it actually looks like it is real. Sometimes when your heart is in the right place and it is the right time you can produce some of your most amazing pieces of art. Sorry I am not being stuck up about myself but it is the truth. Sometimes you try so hard at something that it just does not work out and then there are times when you just go for it and 1 2 3 you have an amazing piece of work. So as I have said in my earlier post as well this is also up for sale. Here is another painting that I did that is the style of Patrick Nagel. I did this awhile back before I was married and in art school. I love this painting so much because Iof the fsct that I did it clean cut unlike my usual paintings where I am more free with my style. I love painting and I have an urge to do another painting and have everything waiting for me to do it. And I will be doin it a little diferent from hom I normally paint and I am going to be painting the painting with my fingers and hands and no brush. It is an idea I have and want to see it through. American Eagle Head Acrylic Painting

Here is a painting that I did a few years back of the American eagle head. This painting is very large measuring at 32"x40" on black matt board. I absolutely love this painting cause it was on impulse to paint it and when I have an impulse to do something my mind is set to do it and normally I do come out with some of my best work. But the said thing that I do have to say is that I am selling this painting. :-( I am going to be very said to see this go cause I do love it. But there are times in our lives when we do have to let go of somethings.
