Santa Ride Around - 12/22/07

Well.....
it has been a VERY busy last few months and in the photos you will be able to see what I have been up to and why I have been neglecting my scrapbooking. Well my husband is a Lieut. in the Fire department and well since I am an artist and his wife I am always that one that they ask to do the artistic stuff down at there station. (TRUST ME I DO NOT MIND, I LOVE PAINTING BIG SO I REALLY DID HAVE A LOT OF FUN) So since I would say October I have been painting these boards to go on there fire trucks for there annual santa ride around. I have put in at least eight hours a day plus at least an extra few hours at night to get this done and I am so thrilled with the final look of these boards. So I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I did tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Colored pencil drawing of duck

Here is a colored pencil drawing that I did that is so detailed and the feeling of it is amazing cause it does not feel like it is done by colored pencil. It is so smooth and you judt really have to feel and see it up close to get the whole feeling of this drawing. There is so much detail in the drawing that it actually looks like it is real. Sometimes when your heart is in the right place and it is the right time you can produce some of your most amazing pieces of art. Sorry I am not being stuck up about myself but it is the truth. Sometimes you try so hard at something that it just does not work out and then there are times when you just go for it and 1 2 3 you have an amazing piece of work. So as I have said in my earlier post as well this is also up for sale. Patrick Nagel Painting of lady - Original by me

Here is another painting that I did that is the style of Patrick Nagel. I did this awhile back before I was married and in art school. I love this painting so much because Iof the fsct that I did it clean cut unlike my usual paintings where I am more free with my style. I love painting and I have an urge to do another painting and have everything waiting for me to do it. And I will be doin it a little diferent from hom I normally paint and I am going to be painting the painting with my fingers and hands and no brush. It is an idea I have and want to see it through. So as soon as I get that one done I will post it up on here as well. Also this acrylic painting of the lady is also for sale as well as the other one that I posted. American Eagle Head Acrylic Painting

Here is a painting that I did a few years back of the American eagle head. This painting is very large measuring at 32"x40" on black matt board. I absolutely love this painting cause it was on impulse to paint it and when I have an impulse to do something my mind is set to do it and normally I do come out with some of my best work. But the said thing that I do have to say is that I am selling this painting. :-( I am going to be very said to see this go cause I do love it. But there are times in our lives when we do have to let go of somethings. Here is another layout that I did from my Bahamas layout. i went a little crazy and something different from what I normally do. I used Chatter Box papers, Bazzill Card Stock, Assorted Ribbons, Buttons, Swarovski Crystals, Crystals from AC Moore, Assorted Brads.
